CO2 Foaming
Traditional foam agent used in the PET foam core production line is fluoride, which has an impact on the environment and human health. However, our PET extrusion line can use composite foaming agent "CO2" to replace "fluorine series" foaming agent, which not only will greatly reduce the production cost but also can achieve zero emissions of greenhouse gases.

Advantages of PET Foam Core

Compared with other types of foam plastics, PET extrusion line foam materials have their unique advantages:

1. PET extruded foam has good dimensional stability, good sound insulation and heat insulation properties. Its short-time maximum working temperature can reach 200ºC, and it can be used for a long time at 120ºC, which is much higher than polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polystyrene (PS), polyurethane (PU).

2. PET foam has excellent wear resistance and surface blocking properties, and has good barrier properties to water vapor, oxygen (O2) and carbon dioxide (CO2).
 

 

3. The thermal expansion coefficient of PET foam is close to that of concrete and steel, and its thermal expansion performance is comparable to glass foam.

4. The water absorption of PET foam is lower than that of PS and PU foam.

5. PET can be recycled and reused and has little impact on the environment. Waste PET plastic is an important source of raw materials for the PET foaming process, and has greater advantages in terms of economic costs and environmental protection.
